Owosso, Mich (WNEM) – U.S. Small Business Administration Administrator, Kelly Loeffler, was in Owosso saying policies from President Donald Trump’s Administration are creating opportunity for Mid-Michigan workers.
Loeffler met with Congressman Tom Barret and several local small businesses at Clark Engineering’s Manufacturing Plant.
She said the reforms from the One Big Beautiful Bill will allow companies to invest back into their employees and businesses.
“I’m excited to see the benefits of the One Big Beautiful Bill right in action here in Michigan that are helping reshore and onshore made in America manufacturing,” said Loeffler. “Skilled workforce this is critical especially in Michigan who is growing their manufacturing footprint and we see there are over 600,000 open manufacturing jobs across the country, 7 million open jobs across this nation and that’s what’s great about this tax bill. It cuts taxes on hardworking Americans. It creates incentives to work and provides more investment ability for Americans to start their own business,” Loeffler added.
Congressman Barret said tariffs were discussed at the roundtable, adding that discussions will continue regarding the effects of the extra costs.
