COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio R&B Music Festival is set to return to Columbus from October 3 to 5, 2025, promising a weekend filled with rhythm, soul, and community.
The event kicks off on Friday, October 3, with a Festival Kick-Off Happy Hour at Flavor 91 Bistro from 6 to 9 p.m.
On Saturday, October 4, the Upfront Performance Space will host an Artist Showcase at 4:30 p.m., featuring indie R&B artists from across Ohio. The showcase, hosted by Dear Ms. Stevi, will include performances by Akoiya, N'Shai Iman, Kasiya, Myko Glaze, Angel Dust, Zyirra, Charity Evonna, Kindred Feyth M, Ayren Daprynze, Lyrikal Goddess Melina Marie, Cherimondis J, Anitra Chery, and Day Luster.
The festival will conclude on Sunday, October 5, with the Soul Dope Awards at Natalie’s Grandview at 6 p.m. The "Giving Flowers"-themed ceremony will honor standout artists across 15 categories and feature a special tribute to Ohio legends, The Isley Brothers, for their significant contributions to R&B and global music culture.
Festival founder Qamil Wright, who has been involved in Columbus' R&B scene for over a decade, said, "The Ohio R&B Music Festival has always been about shining a light on the incredible talent that comes out of our state and giving Ohio a stage that reflects the richness of its R&B legacy. Ohio has such a rich musical history. The R&B, Soul and Funk coming out of this state has heavily influenced the entire scope of American music. It is important that we celebrate and honor the contributions of artists past and present!"
Tickets for the festival are now available at www.souldopeentertainment.com/festival, with a variety of options including weekend passes and single-day admission. Early purchase is encouraged due to high demand.
