MAKANDA, Ill. (KFVS) – Dozens of folks enjoyed live music and wine during a fundraiser that benefits the Carbondale Warming Center.
Kevin Lucas performed live music for hours during the fundraiser at Blue Sky Vineyards in Makanda on Saturday afternoon.
Carbondale Warming Center Interim Director, Teneshkia Wright, was grateful for the support from the community, “It’s a blessing. It’s a blessing to even be here. To be standing here and doing this. And to have whatever group, small or big to come together and to support our most unfortunate.”
This is the third year for the fundraiser.
The Warming Center is always accepting donations. Anyone can donate by visiting the Warming Center’s website.
