The Global Gaming Expo (G2E) in Las Vegas is drawing 25,000 visitors and over 400 exhibitors from 120 countries to the Venetian this week, showcasing the future of gaming.
The event, one of the largest conventions in the city, is expected to boost visitor numbers and features cutting-edge virtual gaming technology.
Among the innovations are electronic table games that operate without dealers, raising concerns about job security for human dealers.
Alberto Resado, who moved from Chicago to Las Vegas to become a dealer, believes the human touch remains irreplaceable. "A lot of gamblers… prefer table games. There's nothing like getting cards in baccarat or roulette," he said.
David Kotser, a student at CEG Dealer School, emphasized the importance of learning multiple games for job security. "Casinos also know that… some casinos will send us to schooling like mine to learn extra games," he said.
Meanwhile, live dealer games, such as those offered by Playtech, combine technology with human interaction, allowing dealers to run games from Las Vegas for online players worldwide.

Alan Feldman from UNLV's International Gaming Institute highlighted the benefits: "It's bringing the excitement and the brands of our city to places all over the world."
G2E continues through Thursday.
