Jenee Fleenor scheduled to be back in Springdale next week
Next month, Springdale’s own Jenee Fleenor will try and win the Country Music Association’s Musician of the Year for a sixth time.
This is her seventh nomination.
The fiddle player has spent her career playing with a who’s who of country music stars.
Most recently, she’s played with Vince Gill, George Strait and Trisha Yearwood, just a name a few.
But next week, she’ll be back home in Springdale.
She’s being honored with three others.
These are people whose hard work and dedication have impacted education in Springdale.
And that’s the thing about her — the 2001 Springdale High graduate said she’s never forgotten where she came from.
“Those are the ‘pinch me’ moments. You know, I think of my time growing up in Springdale, driving around and hearing all of these artists in my car and just dreaming about hearing my fiddle on those records, so it’s such a blessing to get to say that it’s what I get to do,” Fleenor said.
The 2025 CMA Awards air in November on ABC.
Fleenor co-wrote a single with Chris Stapleton and Miranda Lambert called “A Song to Sing.”
She said Monday is also her mom’s birthday.
