Vote Now! Voting open for Tuscaloosa News Boys Athlete of the Week for Oct. 25-31 – The Tuscaloosa News

It’s time to vote for The Tuscaloosa News Boys Athlete of the Week for Oct. 25-31.
Last week’s winner was Winfield football’sBlaine Bowen, who won 59.56% of the vote (5,960). He rushed on 13 carries for 124 yards and four touchdowns, completing 7 of 13 passes for a total of 180 yards and a touchdown in a 47-7 win against Vinemont.
Typically, a separate poll is also held for the Girls Athlete of the Week when at least five programs submit nominations. However, this week did not meet that threshold, so only the boys poll is available. Any sport can nominate for athlete of the week and the top performer list.
Nominees for athlete of the week come from the top performers the week before. Coaches and team stat keepers can send in stats to nominate players for top performer lists to sports@tuscaloosanews.com by 11 p.m. Friday. Voting will last until noon Nov. 6.
