The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will celebrate the completion of the new Institute of Religion in Logan, Utah, with an open house on Friday and Saturday, November 21–22, 2025, and a dedication service on Sunday, November 23, 2025.
The new facility, located at 600 Darwin Avenue near the campus of Utah State University, replaces the original structure removed in 2023 and will provide gospel-centered education for approximately 10,000 young adults each year.
The public is invited to tour the new facility from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, November 21–22, and a young adult dance will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. A ticketed, by-invitation dedication service will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday, November 23.
Andy Bryan, Logan Institute of Religion director, says the Institute of Religion program has an important impact for young adults attending Utah State University and others across Cache Valley.
“This new building stands as an innovative place for learning, worship and belonging,” he said. “It continues a legacy of helping young adults become resilient disciples of Jesus Christ who lift others and find joy in His teachings. We’re grateful that the institute will continue to serve as an integral part of this community and for all who have helped make it such a wonderful part of life here in Logan.”
The institute programs of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints provide both spiritual learning and social connection to young adults ages 18 to 35 in over 170 countries throughout the world.
The first institute class was attended by 20 students at the University of Idaho in 1926. Today nearly 460,000 students are enrolled worldwide. In 2026, institute will commemorate its centennial anniversary with local celebrations throughout the year around the world.
“Institute supports the mission of the Church Educational System, which is to develop disciples of Jesus Christ who are leaders in their homes, the Church, and their communities. No matter if you attend a church-operated school or no school at all, we invite you to join with us as we learn about Jesus Christ, grow in faith and have a lot of fun,” said Bryan.
