Saturday was Small Business Saturday; a celebration of local shops to help support local business owners.
In Cambria County, several local businesses and shoppers celebrated the special day.
Workers at classic elements in johnstown said their business participated in the Johnstown Shop Small Crawl, which encourages shoppers to visit small businesses around the city.
Until December 20, shoppers can purchase a Shop Small Crawl tote bag.
After making a purchase at a participating business, you'll get a button.
If you collect all 20 buttons, you can enter to win the grand prize of $100 cash.
If you collect at least 10 buttons, you're eligible to win a gift basket of items and gift cards from participating shops.
Workers said the event is a good way to get shoppers out into the community.
Classic Elements employee April Eyler said, “We make our economy grow and we make our community better with small businesses. So, I encourage everybody to try to shop local first as much as they can. There's so many amazing businesses downtown and in the Greater Johnstown region. So, I hope everybody gets out there and supports local.”
If you collect enough buttons, email your full name, a photo of your completed tote, and tote number to youinfloodcity@gmail.com by December 29.
Officials said winners will be announced on December 31.
