SYRACUSE — Avery King scored a game-high 21 points with four 3-pointers to lead Syracuse High girls basketball past Clearfield in a 58-44 decision Tuesday night.
Karsyn Visser added 12 points with three treys for Syracuse (5-2). Maylee Anderson scored 10 points with two 3-pointers.
Izzy Wyaskett led Clearfield (3-4) with 15 points. Ciara De La O scored 10 points with two 3-pointers.
PLAIN CITY — Fremont ran out to a 41-24 halftime lead, then held off a Westlake charge for a home win.
Ellie McArthur paced Fremont (5-1) with 17 points and two 3-pointers. Olivia Surrage scored 13 points with three treys. Abby Christensen added 12 points.
GRANGER — Ogden held Granger to four points in the first quarter for a road win.
Salote Tonga led Ogden (4-4) with 13 points. Taylor Duke and Juliet Knowles each scored eight points.
TAYLOR — West Field was outscored 40-24 in the second half in a home loss to Woods Cross.
Kylee Mueller led West Field (2-4) with 19 points and Meleah Conger added seven.
ROY — Roy fell behind 25-10 after the first quarter in a home loss to Wasatch.
Aniyah Gomez led Roy (0-7) with six points. Quincy Hoover and Lily Solomons each scored five points.
KAYSVILLE — Davis trailed 21-14 at the half and couldn’t bridge the gap in a home loss to Mountain Ridge (4-1).
Cambell Christensen led Davis (3-3) with seven points. Kate Willard, Kiara Zwonitzer and Lydia Tarbet each added six points.
GARLAND — Maylee Higley led Bear River with 12 points on four 3-pointers but a 15-7 second quarter led Sky View (4-3, 1-0 Region 11) to the win in a region opener.
Olivia Fry totaled eight points and 10 rebounds for Bear River (3-4, 0-1).

KAYSVILLE — Bode Sparrow scored a game-high 18 points to lead Davis past Bingham.
Cameron Brower added 16 points with three 3-pointers for Davis (4-1). JT Turley scored 14 points. Tradon Bessinger tallied 13 points and six rebounds.
LAYTON — Layton trailed 14-11 after one quarter, then outscored Skyline 21-3 in the second stanza for a home win.
Karter Miller led Layton (4-1) with 19 points and two 3-pointers. Tage Allen scored 12 points and Chase Randall added 10 points and two treys.
OGDEN — Ben Lomond raced to a 48-30 halftime lead and claimed its first win of the season.
Taggart Bush led Ben Lomond (1-5) with 24 points. Cole Parkinson added 20 points, and Kru Boyle pitched in 16 on four 3-pointers. Anthony Herrera scored 13 points.
St. Joseph (2-4) did not report stats.
WOODS CROSS — Woods Cross won the third quarter 21-9 to take a home win over West Field.
Drew Faddis led West Field (3-2) with 21 points. Cason Malan hit three 3-pointers and scored 15 points. Daxton Laughter added 13 points.
BOUNTIFUL — Carter Robinson scored 17 points, Colton Hoenigman tallied 15 points and Skyler Orton added 14 points as Syracuse (4-3) fell at Bountiful.
BRIGHAM CITY — Box Elder trailed 14-12 after one quarter but could get no closer in a home loss to Payson.
Eli Gilmore and Ryan Jenson each scored eight points for Box Elder (4-3) with Jenson hitting two 3-pointers. McKay Deem added seven points.
