CLINTON — Lilah Cluver scored 15 points and Carly Anderson chipped in 14 points to guide the Clinton girls’ basketball team past Rochester in a 48-35 decision, with the Maroons (8-4) outscoring the Rockets 18-3 in the first quarter.
DECATUR — Thirteen points from Marcus Otto, nine points from Will Hilligoss and Cooper Shoemaker and Easton Frederick led the Arthur-Lovington-Atwood-Hammond boys’ basketball team (1-7) in a 73-49 loss to Riverton at the St. Teresa Christmas Tournament.
DECATUR — The Maroa-Forsyth boys’ basketball team carded a 61-41 victory against St. Teresa on the strength of Caebrin Lee‘s 27-point outburst, plus 12 points from Coby Lane, nine points from Luke Smith and seven points from Ryne Sheppard to help the Trojans (5-3).
EFFINGHAM — Sixteen points from Tyler Henry, 15 points from Coleton Langendorf and 11 points from Tre Hoggard keyed the Unity boys’ basketball team (5-1) to a 66-57 road win against Effingham in nonconference play.
FARMER CITY — Eighteen points from Brycen Umstaddt, 16 points from Sam Edmundson and 12 points from Deven Bollhorst carried the LeRoy boys’ basketball team to an 81-20 victory against host Blue Ridge (0-8) in Heart of Illinois Conference play, which marked the 10th straight win for the Panthers (10-0).
ST. JOSEPH — Addie Brooks scored 18 points, Katie Ericksen scored 14 points and Hayden Dahl chipped in 13 points to guide the St. Joseph-Ogden girls’ basketball team (7-1) to a nonconference win against the visiting Warriors (10-1), who were led by Christa Holohan‘s 14-point effort. Rennah Barrett scored 11 points for the Warriors, but a 28-25 halftime deficit proved too much to overcome.
