Alex Warren, a singer-songwriter who rose to fame on TikTok, is among the many talented musicians who earned nominations at the 2026 Grammy Awards.
Warren earned his first Grammy nomination for Best New Artist, a category which also includes standout musicians from the past year, such as KATSEYE, Addison Rae, Olivia Dean, Leon Thomas and more.
But who is Alex Warren, one of the music industry’s rising stars of 2025? Here are some facts to know about the artist.
Alex Warren is a singer, songwriter and content creator from Carlsbad, California. Warren got his start on YouTube but later shifted to TikTok, gaining millions of followers for his popular prank videos, per USA TODAY. Warren also co-founded the Hype House, a prominent influencer collective, in 2019.
Warren signed with Atlantic Records in 2022 and began releasing a handful of singles during his first few years with the label. His first single to chart in the U.S. was his 2024 song “Burning Down,” which was featured on his 2025 debut studio album, “You’ll Be Alright, Kid.” 
However, it was the project’s other single “Ordinary” which catapulted him into stardom. The single spent 10 weeks in the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Hot 100. The song also became Spotify’s fourth most-streamed song globally.
Warren was born Sept. 18, 2000, making him 25 years old.
Warren’s hit song “Ordinary” celebrates his marriage to Kouvr Annon, a fellow alum of the now-defunct social media collective Hype House. Warren reportedly met Annon on Snapchat when he was 18, homeless and living in his car. The song not only honors the couple’s relationship but also captures Warren’s growth over the past five years.
Warren was raised Catholic and is still a believer, but he is not strictly a Christian singer. However, many of his songs do include elements of worship music, including isolated vocals and sometimes religious imagery, per USA TODAY.
Warren’s father died from kidney cancer when the singer was only 9 years old, according to The Nashville Tennessean. He was kicked out of his house at 17 by his mother, who struggled with alcoholism, leaving him homeless. She died in 2021.
