WATERTOWN, New York (WWNY) – A 32-year-old Philadelphia man was arrested after police said he broke into a local business and stole thousands of dollars worth of tools.
Dalton Blair was charged with burglary and grand larceny after Watertown City Police said he pried open a side door at 1130 Water Street to steal tools from the secured business.
Police said Blair damaged the side door and casing while entering the building. Officers found two bags of stolen tools in the back seat of a 2012 Chrysler that Blair was operating, according to police.
The stolen items included a Snap-On screwdriver set, Blue Point open-ended wrench set, an additional Snap-On screwdriver set, two Craftsman wrench sets, one socket set, three Snap-On impact drivers, one Snap-On impact ratchet, four Snap-On batteries and two Snap-On battery chargers. Police said the total value exceeded $3,000.
