The countdown to the 2026 FIFA World Cup is officially on — with less than 100 days to go!
Here in Renton, we’re preparing to welcome guests from around the world. As Seattle prepares to host six World Cup matches, and the City’s Renton, Ready to Play! initiative is designed to help residents, businesses, and community partners make the most of this historic moment.
Whether you’re planning for watch parties, promoting your business, or just enjoying the soccer vibes, the City of Renton has built the tools and resources you need to be part of the celebration.
Renton, Ready to Play! is the city’s official campaign supporting the 2026 FIFA World Cup. It unites residents, businesses, and visitors under one message: Renton is ready to celebrate.

Resources include business‑readiness programs, visitor engagement tools, branding and promotional resources, and calendars for public space activations, including Legacy Square.
Local businesses are invited to attend monthly World Cup business briefings, hosted by the City of Renton. 
These sessions are ideal for restaurants, retailers, hotels, event organizers, and any business expecting increased foot traffic.
Businesses and community groups can submit public events to the Visit Renton calendar — a key resource for visitors exploring the city during the World Cup.

Renton will host free, family‑friendly watch parties at the new Legacy Square in downtown Renton with extra-large outdoor screens, food trucks, soccer-themed activities on the mini-pitch and easy access to transit and parking.
In addition to watch parties, Legacy Square will host activities and events throughout the summer, making it a prime destination for locals and visitors alike.
