Old Southwest Conference foes SMU and Baylor face off on the gridiron for the first time since 2016 when the Bears visit Gerald J. Ford Stadium to face the Mustangs this Saturday.
While Baylor has won the last 13 meetings between the two schools, its SMU that enters Saturday’s game in better shape. The No. 17 Mustangs are coming off a College Football Playoff appearance in 2024 and opened their season with a blowout win of East Texas A&M. Meanwhile, Baylor is hoping to get back on track after losing to Auburn at home in Week 1.
